During this period, you may experience brief periods of low water pressure or discoloration. Do not be alarmed if your water appears “rusty.” If this occurs, run the water in your sinks, showers, or baths until the water runs clear before using it. During this time period please refrain from using appliances that use water. Local Road Closure Chester- Work has been completed Local Road Closure Chester effective October 30, 2024 The Town of Chester Highway Department will be doing an emergency pipe replacement on Bull Mill Rd. The closure will be Bull Mill Rd. from Lori Lane to the Town Line on October 30, 2024. Re-opening will be posted online. NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE EFFECTIVE MAY 11, 2026 The New York State Department of Transportation will soon begin the above referenced culvert project. The work in this area will involve the replacement of the culvert carrying NYS Route 208 over Moodna Creek Tributary between Twin Arch Road and Salzburg Road/Fountayne Court in the Town of Blooming Grove with a field office in place at 682 East Main Street, Suite 2B, Middletown, NY 10940. This work will involve a full road closure between Twin Arch Road and Salzburg Road/Fountayne Court with a signed detour beginning on or about May 11, 2026, for approximately 2 months. Motorists are requested to utilize local signed detours. As with all work zones and detours, please slow down and pay attention to all signage and roadway instructions, including flaggers.
